Gary Ross Jacobs

Savannah- Mr. Gary Ross Jacobs, 57, died Monday, January 29, 2007 at Hospice Savannah.

Gary was a native of Durham, North Carolina and lived in Savannah for the past 18 years. He served in the United States Army for 10 years where he was an EENT Specialist. For the past 34 years he has worked as a surgical technician. He was a communicant of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and a member of VFW Post 4392 on Tybee Island. He was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine Jacobs Bissette and Edgar Jacobs of Durham, NC; his step-father, Charles “Hank” Bissette a baby brother Hiriam Jacobs and half brother, Edward Adcox.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Bonnie Lee Jacobs; daughter and son-in-law, Mary & David Sisk; son, Edward Jacobs, all of Savannah; sisters, Susan Smith and her husband, Waldo of Roxboro, NC, Catherine”Tootie” McLean and her husband, Bill of Wilksboro, NC; sister-in-law, Becky Judice of California; sister-in-law, Harriet Schreiner and her husband, Bob of Chagrin Falls, OH; grandson, Joseph Sisk of Savannah and many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:00 noon, Thursday, February 1, 2007 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with The Reverend Patrick O’Brien, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
